Happy Thanksgiving!

Today was our fourth day of class and it also happens to be Thanksgiving. We have a few students in our class from the US, so it was nice to be able to actually say Happy Thanksgiving to someone.

Class went by quickly and we had a treat in store for us in the afternoon. We had the chance to make Paella and Sangria…both traditional Spanish food & drink. We had a small cooking class on the terrace of our school that overlooked downtown Barcelona. We made a seafood paella which ended up being delicious, it had a huge amount of seafood in it! We also had the chance to meet and talk with other students from the school. It was a great way to practice Spanish, especially when occasionally the only common language we shared with the other students was Spanish.

After Paella we hung out with other students and were surprised by a group of students that had decided to make Turkey Dinner! We have no idea how they found a turkey in Barcelona but we were invited to stay and have Turkey dinner. Around midnight we decided to head back to our hotel because it was a school night and we had one last day of classes left.

Here’s a look at our Paella adventure…
