Today we decided to make up for our day of relaxation. So we spent the day exploring and visiting different sites. First up was the historical waterfront and view of the river. We walked along the river and headed over to the other side so that we could take our tour of the vineyards.

Here’s a look at the waterfront in Porto…

We ended up making it to the Vineyards relatively quickly. There are a ton of vineyards in the area so we picked the vineyard who’s wine we had tasted the first day and liked. Of course the English tour wasn’t until later afternoon so we decided to take the tour in Spanish.

We can officially say that it made things much more entertaining, not to mention that we remember way more from the tour than we normally would if it was in English. Moving forward we’re taking our tours in Spanish when possible. Oh yeah…it’s also a great way to practice our Spanish comprehension.

A quick peek at our tour…
