Today we visited a palace to beat all others…the Palace of Versailles. We started our adventure by taking a train to Versailles. The train was relatively easy to find and then we simply had to follow the crowd of people to find our way to the palace.

Then it was into the palace and on a mission to see as much as possible. Believe us when we say there was a lot to see, the palace was huge! Before we give you a glimpse of our day here’s a brief review of the palace’s significance in history from our dear friend Wikipedia…“The court of Versailles was the center of political power in France from 1682, when Louis XIV moved from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789 after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime.”

Now here’s what you’ve been waiting for, a look at Versailles…
